To check if your remote is functioning, use a digital camera to see if it emits infrared signals when pressing buttons. If not, replace the batteries and clean the remote to ensure the buttons are connecting properly. If the remote is still not working, try removing the battery and pressing a few buttons before reinserting it to activate the control again.
