Slightly disappointed
Slightly disappointed, given the mostly positive reviews & cited awards. Spoken dialogue doesn’t sound like it’s in stereo & the mid-range is generally flat. I can’t detect much surround sound effect either but the bass is pretty good. I wonder if some different EQ settings might help, as were available on the previous Studio model? I suspect it’s a case of ‘you get what you pay for’ but the poor speech quality means I can’t recommend this as a TV speaker.

Easy installation and amazing sound
I received this sound bar from being a member of your Backstage Pass. It took me less than 30 minutes from unpacking and installation on the wall to connected to my tv and bluetooth connection to my phone. A+. The sound is more than I had expected. The bass was not over the top. And the highs and mid-range was top notch. What a bargain. I would not expect anything else from JBL. This the reason I have been a customer of yours for over 20 years.

Very small and lightweight packs nice sound output
I have had the Jbl Soundbar 2.0 for less than a week. I use it more than my other soundbar because the sound it creates is more real and even without a subwoofer it has a great amount of bass for a room. The only thing it needs is a digital screen to tell you if it’s Powered on or not and if your on bluetooth. It tells you based on color, blue for bluetooth and white for volume or tv source and orange for mute.

I've got JBL BAR 2.0 as a gift,and was so excited!
I used to have my music everywhere: at the GYM I have JBL reflect flaws. For going out to the beach I use JBL charge 3 and for my apt now I have JBL BAR 2.0 ALL IN ONE. Why JBL? Because of its warm BASS and balanced sound. With that said JBL BAR 2.0 was a perfect gift for me!!!
I’m an international dental student of LLU Dental school and having this type of soundbar for my small apt was just what I was missing. For example, it has a compact design(moreover, it has some tools with which you can attach it to the wall and enjoy the music)
The sound is really good: for this price The BAR sounds really good I just love it .
ALso,The Bar is connected to my phone and TV through Bluetooth and I can switch from one to another without any problem one click and that's it.
though there is no perfect soundbars in this world, I can say that this is a great one for a student like me!

Just what I needed for watching movies at home!
Just as the title of this review says, I was looking for the right speaker to play movie audio and the Bar 2.0 serves that purpose! As for playing music, it doesn't fully exceed my expectations as it struggles to hold the bass I'm looking for... but with slight EQ adjustments through my phone settings, it plays loud enough for enjoyment. Definitely loud and clear enough for a party setting as well.

To give a little context, I am not actually using my own Netflix account, which might allude to a basic fact that my TV, while LCD, is old. It doesn't have "ARC," an acronym I didn't use 5 days ago. For those in the same boat as me, never fear, I purchased a very lovely adapter that resolved my issues straight away.
Once plugged in the sound immediately works with the TV. I've also easily hooked it up with bluetooth. This bar is pretty much designed for the TV, though. The sound is very crisp and clean and perfect for enjoying on screen entertainment but doesn't really have the depth you'd want with music. I probably wouldn't use it for both purposes which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.
Otherwise, I love it, I think with the amount of time I spend plopped on the couch, it is fitting to have a sound bar. This one looks nice, has a really easy set up and, most importantly, sounds great!

Movie theater sound
I have this hooked up to our Samsung TV. I don't use it all the time because it's actually pretty loud even on the lowest volume. It's great when we are watching sports games or an action movie. It definitely sounds like we are in a movie theater. The bass is great and we don't even need to put the volume up. The TV volume has to be on zero or there is an echo. Was super to install.

Sounds amazing!
I’ve been using this product over a week now and it’s changed my family’s entire movie experience at home. It sounds like a theatre in my family room. The sound quality is more than I could ever ask for. It’s easy to use. It’s one piece and sounds like full surround sound all around. Every time I turn on a movie, everyone in the house makes their way to the family room. #LOVEJBL

Its OK
I have just purchased this sound bar at a reasonable price, easy to set up, I am using the HDMI cable to give me the best results. The good points, its light, easy to use, small. The bad points, you have to have the volume set on maximum to bring out any good quality sound experience. I would spend more if you can on at least 300 watt sound bar, 80 watt does not cut it.

A disappointment
Jbl has really always been my favorite audio company primarily for the value and sound quality; however, this sound bar does not even come close to the quality I expected. I will be returning it. It’s simply not worth $200. I will be going with the Bose version of this speaker that is only $50 more, but from what I heard in the store, the sound quality is incomparable.

Easy to install!
Bought this as a Christmas present to myself but had to open it early as outer packaging was damaged and needed to ensure that unit was okay.
Fortunately it was and I have been using it for a couple of weeks now.
Easy to use,not sure that tv sound is that great but very good when connected to phone with Bluetooth.
Nice and compact and probably worth the money.

I had this device for almost a week so far I've noticed that it needs not only a HDMI cord because not everyone wants to give up the HDMI port it doesn't come with the optical audio input so you will have to buy one with performance sounds good if you're looking for a theater type sound for your room or area

This Bar was easy to set up and produces a great sound . It’s like having surround sound but it’s just coming out of this wonderful product. I am always thrilled with JBL products, the bass is great, the highs and treble crisp. This is perfect to relax with music after work, or even use when playing video games! This handles all my music and does not compromise sound at louder volumes. Perfect for either the living room or a bedroom!

The minute I turned it on to listen, it could of been better... the sound wasn’t as deep and realistic experienced... could use different parts of bass in movies to sounds better, just sounded loud and clear but does not feel like if you were in a cinema

I can hear the bedroom tv again!
I added this sound bar because the speakers in my 32” bedroom tv weren’t sufficient for my hearing loss when I remove my hearing aids at night. Your sound bar corrected this deficiency. Easy to set up, non-obtrusive, and quality. Thanks!

Will this sound bar connect to a roku tv
A Roku stick with external power could work with our JBL Bar 2.0. In any case that it doesn't work properly, please connect the stick to the TV and enable HDMI ARC so it would send the audio through the TV down to the soundbar.

Our JBL Bar 2.0 All-in-One is not capable of connecting to other speaker systems. On the other hand, JBL PartyBox 300 can only connect with another PartyBox 300 or 200 using the TWS feature.

If I have this plugged into the TV with hdmi can I pair it wirelessly with other speakers to have rear speakers? I can't hear the soundbar until it's turned halfway up.
Our JBL Bar 2.0 All-in-One is a stand-alone speaker system. It can't connect with other speakers. You could check the volume on the soundbar and the volume on the TV to see which one is on low level. Most of the time, the volume on the TV is low, resulting to a higher volume setting on the soundbar before it gets loud. If you need more help, please reach out to our JBL Customer Support.

Is there an update plan in the future? Overall, I like the sound of Bar 2.0 AIO, but the ,,smart sound" preset make the sound ,,plastic and cheap", when it's turned off, it's sounding much better. Option to turn it off permanently will be appreciated.

We have had the Soundbar 2.0 for approximately 2months. It has been working perfectly until today. I has just started switching itself off. When I factory reset it works again temporarily, but soon swithces itself off. Use optical cable to Samsung TV

So this is using hdmi 1.4 instead of 2.0 which means it isn’t gonna pass through 4K resolution to your 4K tv and you’re not gonna see frame rates of 60hz for gaming. Even hdmi 2.0 is old now and you kinda want hdmi 2.1 just in case 120hz refresh rates

Can I connect to a record turntable with an extra cable

When listening to music there are almost no highs (treble). For example JBL flip 3 sounds a lot better for highs, though frequency response for Bar 2.0 and Flip 3 are the same on highs (20khz).Music source and device is the same. Maybe my unit is faulty?

My Soundbar has an "echo" sound - how do I remove it? I've tried pressing the audio feedback button but nothing has changed.
You may try to reset your soundbar by following the instructions below:
To reset your JBL Bar 2.0 back to factory default settings, follow the steps below.
Turn on your JBL Bar 2.0
Press SOURCE and POWER buttons on top of the bar at the same time for more than 3 seconds.
Your soundbar will now power off and on again.
All Bluetooth paired devices are now removed from the internal memory; please Bluetooth pair your devices again.
