Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk! Bought them and originally loved them. The sound was awesome. Yet when they finally died after using them on & off a month they won’t charge! Absolutely will not charge ive tried jbl original usb to computer, usb to power bank, usb to playstation, usb to charging block. NOTHING. Lights up red for maybe 3 min then stops lighting up & when you turn them on they connect play for a second or two then turn off. I’ve tried factory resetting them everything... unfortunately junk & ive read of others having this same issue.

I decided to give these a try and I’m pleasantly surprised! I’m usually not the biggest fan of on-ear headphones because they can be bulky, heavy, and uncomfortable, but these are perfect! Very lightweight, the ear pads are comfortable (but after a couple hours of usage my ears still hurt some) and they’re perfect to wear when I’m just sitting around or walking on campus. The sound quality is nice for the price point, so I don’t feel like I’ve forfeited anything there. The bass is crisp and clear. I was originally going to go with pink, but I got white instead since it matched my phone better and the color is very chic! O

Poor connectivity Recently bought a pair of these and they really have a nice sound for the money, the frame is good but can put a fair amount of pressure after a few hours of use. They are, indeed, pure bass experience, so best suited for that type of music, and if you want to listen to something that's not bass-dependent, you must play with the equalizer and cut the bass out completely. The biggest problem I'm having is the connectivity. I can't connect them to any of the PCs, laptops and MacBooks (Win10/Big Sur 11.2.3), but the mobile connection is great, and they sound great. Even the mic is good for the phone calls but due to its placement, it picks up everything around you.

It is impossible to use these earphones on Windows 10 for calling or recording, because the audio out (audio coming to your ears via the headphone speakers) will sound like a mix between a drunk R2D2 and 3-CPO on a bad day (Starwars fans will have an idea). There are thousands upon thousands of complaints about this issue and there does not seem to be a definite solution! Why doesnt JBL, which is by no means a small generic audio company, make a driver to fix this robot from hell sound issue? Why is this so difficult to fix? I have spent about 4 HOURS trying all sorts of things I have read on forums and nothing worked! There should be a massive warning on the box saying this product DOES NOT WORK WITH : SKYPE, GOOGLE MEETS, ZOOM, etc. I, as a JBL consumer, would like to have a solution to this problem and I think that everyone on this forum should demand one as well.

Reasonably priced, comfortable and stylish. There is no sound cancellation on these so maybe having them up full volume on a train carriage might upset your neighbour - but what do you expect for that great price! If you want a stylish decent priced pair of wireless headphones then go for these.

Problem with "clicking" noise where the music/ speech goes to a very quiet point on low volume. Eg. End of every sentence on an audible book- click. Squashed my ears at first, got used to it / they may have adjusted/ stretched after a couple of weeks to help. Not suited for 4hour+ wear because of this.

I charged it once and it's still running after that first charge, it's been weeks. They wear comfortably even during my workout. My son is begging for a set so I will be purchasing again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Using this in Headset mode distorts the sounds I am unable to use these headphones properly on Windows (Teams, Skype, Messenger on Chrome, you name it). The headphones have two modes (which appear as two sound devices on the system and apps): Headphones (stereo) and also as Headset (output and mic input). Using Output Headphones + Input PC mic works perfectly. Using Output Headphones + Input Headset -> mutes the output on every app. Using Output Headset + Input Headset -> robotic sounds I can't understand why, I have tried every "solution" (e.g. update Realtek drivers) that I have found on the internet and still no luck. I am not sure if those that report that this is a great headset are really using it as Headset or only as Headphones (which is different), or only on a mobile device (where I did not have any problem of this kind). I have tried on another PC and the problem is the same, I have tried with other headphones and they work very well both on their own Headphones modes and Headset modes. Using this in the Output Headphones + Input PC mic is just absurd, why the Headset feature, then?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from More annoying than useful. I bought these at the beginning of the pandemic due to working from home and my in-ear headphones were hurting my ears after long hours. These struggle to connect to my MacBook every.single.time. so much so, that I don't even use them for work anymore. I would be in meetings with clients and they would be connected and working fine, then would always disconnect. Even trying to use them now just for leisure is annoying because when connected to my MacBook, the sound only plays on one side and has lots of feedback no matter what I'm listening to. I reached out to customer service about a month after having them just to see if I could replace them with some wired headphones to avoid the constant disconnecting, and they refused. Save your money.

For that, I figured they were worth a try--I'd been looking for over-ear wireless headphones anyway. I've had them for about a month now, and have been happy with them. They're comfortable on my large-ish head, aside from sometimes pinching my ears against my glasses (not unique to these, it usually happens with headphones). Sound is great quality, but I think there's a little bleed that others can hear if I go above a certain volume. Overall, great headphones at a solid price point. Would purchase again!

In zoom, microsoft teams or skype you hear a robotic noise instead of the voice of the preson you are talking to. I looked at the forums - these issue were apparent for several months by now, and no action was taken by JBL.

These are the worst headphones I have purchased first off not noise canceling. I have better noise canceling from the headphones that came with my cell phone. Now I charged these up for many hours. Didn't hold a charge. But when I tried them out with my laptop within 2 minutes of my video turtoring (not live) Litterly sounds like robots or slowed down completely. REconnection sounds fine then again 2 minutes in same thing. try again and still nothing. Do not waste your money on these. Worst ever nd will be returning tomorrow for a full refund. I will probably never purchase a product from this company again.

The bass is thick and good with highs, and the playtime is a perfect length for my lifestyle. Sadly, my left side doesn't work anymore, so I'm ordering another pair soon! As just headphones, it's ok, has quite significant audible hiss wile idle. Wi-fi interference is also high.

Beyond that week, 30-45 minutes or so into a meeting, it starts acting weird and cutting off. I have to disconnect and reconnect for it to work. The longer the meeting, the shorter the intervals. I thought the device I got was broken. So, I got a replacement from the shop, but the same thing happened after a week of use. It seems that this model is defective, at least in my case. But it is my first experience with JBL, so I am not sure if I will use it again.

When they finally connect (usually takes a few tries), they disconnect every 5 minutes, and the audio is garbled beyond recognition (it sounds like a DJ is spinning their turntables over the audio). Save your money and go elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Massive surprise...and I've had many headphones I was a mobile DJ for several years, and had headphones ranging in price from affordable to daylight robbery. I was looking for a far more affordable range to use with my cell phone Bluetooth, and these came recommended. I must say, I was sceptical when I saw the price. However, on unboxing the item, I soon learned why the JBL 500BT are in a class of their own. The headphones are incredibly light, but sturdy - and exceptionally comfortable on the ear, with fully padded, soft earcups. The entire set is also foldable, with flat-fold earcups, taking up minimal space. What amazed even more that the comfort these headphones offered, was (1) the exceptional sound quality, volume and pure bass; (2) the short charge time (just over an hour); (3) the 16-hour playback time after a full charge; (4) the ease of Bluetooth connectivity with just about anything; and (5) the built-in mic for hands-free calling, and easy connectivity with Siri or Google Now. Don't let the price put you off these Bluetooth beauties. I have paid ten times more for lesser quality headphones. These JBL 500BT headphones set the standard for what I wanted. Obviously, with them being much more affordable than many others out there, you may sacrifice every so slightly on sound quality and depth, which more expensive headphones will give you. But, trust me, if you are used to using the in-ear or air-pod variety that come with top-of-the-range cell phones, these JBL 500BT headphones will likely outshine those, and by a large degree. These are without a doubt the best headphones in their price range.

The take phone calls option works flawlessly which she is very happy about. I myself being an audiophile or audio fool (which ever you prefer) will tell you they sound absolutely amazing. JBL does not disappoint.

We cannot accurately state whether how well the JBL TUNE 500BT would stay on your head or how secure it would since it depends on the person and the size of their head as well. However, most on ear and over the ear headphones are not used for sports. And this one has no IPX rating. I am not able to fully charge the JBL Tune 500BT. After a few minutes of charging , the red led goes off (i understand a full charge should take 2 hrs). Max listening time i had with these headphones is just over 1 hr. (should be 16 hrs)

That's gonna be a weird one. I wanna buy a case for mine but i don't know it's size (in cm etc.) and i'm unable to measure it myself. If you have this info can you share it? (Measurements while it's folded would be enough)

While listening on my laptop, 1 or both ear pieces stop working, then come back on but the music or talk never stopped on what I am watching. Is this a defect? Is there something I can do? Bought these at Target 7/20/20, haven't used them a lot.

The Tune 600BTNC is a whole lot better than the Tune 500BT in lots of ways. Great sound. Great quality.

Please could you specify how to reset the list of devices paired? I'm trying to connect with a new smartphone but seems impossible as I paired two device before.

When I am using my headphones for music they work fine. But for zoom/meet calls, after a few minutes, the voice is all distorted. The system sound is also distorted. I tried restarting the laptop and the headphones but it still keeps happening. HELP

Please make sure that the headphones are not on low battery when it's sounding distorted. When this happens, try to connect your T500BT to a different device or phone and observe if it will distort or not. If it stops distorting, there could be a driver problem with your laptop.

How do you make sound play out of both channels of the headset? It seems no matter what Bluetooth device i'm connected to (both PC and iPhone) the right audio channel of my headset doesn't play sound.

Hi, when I connect my 500BT to my Macosx and use it tohether with logitech bluetooth mouse it starts to stuck my mac and make noises - playing music in a crippy way.. Could you please tell me how to fix it? I am usign macos 10.13.4. system version.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. It looks like having multiple Bluetooth connections to the same source is causing the issue. We recommend only having one device connected by Bluetooth and the other device connected via wire or AUX cable to avoid connection interference.

Hej, og tak for din interesse! Der er desv&aelig;rre ikke mulighed for at bruge denne model med audiokabel. Den er ren Bluetooth. Hvis du &oslash;nsker ogs&aring; at kunne benytte kabel, skal du op p&aring; en lidt dyrere model, som Tune 600 BTNC.

Hi, a question about video playback. Is it normal that when I play videos (for example youtube) there are intermittences in the audio? when in a video you pass from silent moments to noises the audio makes like snaps, it doesn't go continuously.

i bought these headphones today and currently i am having problems with connecting it to my computer, when it is connected the headphones run in the lowest quality possible in single channel mode, i have tried reseting the bluetooth drivers and setting.

This happened randomly when I turned on my headphones. The startup sound seems more high pitched than before and my phone cannot find the headphones though the Bluetooth is on and they are charged. I have to press longer to turn them off too. Any help?
