Stopped functioning in two weeks
While they were working I was impressed with how they performed for their cost, sadly however the headphones stopped working shortly after. The left headphone completely stopped functioning and the right one was noticeably distorted. The headphones stayed within my home and were only used a handful of times. I own other JBL products and they function flawlessly. I am upset that I now have to shell more money out of pocket for what has to be a manufacturing flaw. Mine may just be an exception as others have commented on how much they enjoy them, but I cannot enjoy something that doesn't work.

Good buy!
I got these some time back & they are worth it! Over the head contraptions have never been my favorite. However the price for this name is what attracted me. The sound quality on these is far better than I expected. Delivers great bass notes! The thing I am weary about with these is that my ears will be sore after wearing headphones for a long time, not the case with these though! Solid product! Great price! Well worth it if you’re looking for good quality sound without having to spend too much.

For my daughter
I've not used them myself as they were bought for my daughter. She loves the colour and apparently they work pretty well because she ignores me far more now even if I scream her name up the stairs to tell her something delicious for tea is waiting on the table for her.

Best Pair Of Headphones I Ever Bought
If the title doesn't sum it up, I don't know what does. As an avid music listener, it was important to have headphones that deliver a quality listening experience, and the Tune 500 did not disappoint.
Although comfort does wain after prolonged use, this is probably due to the newness of the product and will wear to a comfortable fit overtime. Overall I can't fault this product, for the price, you're getting a well built pair of headphones with great sound quality.

Can the T500 wired-on be used on a laptop by plugging into the 3.5mm output audio socket for conference calls (e.g. via skype) using the in-built microphone to speak (i.e. like a headset with a separate microphone attachment)?
I have a JBL Tune 500 wired. And an Asus Rog Strix laptop. I tried to connect, but the microphone doesn't work at all. With Xbox,mobile,tablet works perfect, but with the laptop doesnt. Can not choose diferent line in or line out, only the realtek audio. Can u help me please?

Trying to decide between these & the kid version...can you adjust the volume on these for kids? And are the ear cushions a different size than the kids? My son is 7. He complains about other earphones hurting the outside of his ears. Thanks!
The Tune 500 doesn't have volume controls on the wired version. Your kid may need an Over-ear headphones so his ears won't hurt from the headphones.

Hey! I have found my JBL TUNE 500 to be very non-isolating, meaning that everyone around me can listen to my music. Is that because of the type of headphone or?

Yes, these headphones sit on your ears instead of over them. This will cause more music to leak out the sides of the headphones, especially when playing music on higher volumes. With an over-ear headphone this effect will be much less.

Purchased the headphone to spin however I only hear instrumentals. The music is perfect if the button is pushed but won’t stay. Help!

Can the cord be changed? I am thinking of getting these headphones but I have always had problems with aux cords dying on me so I am wondering if it's possible to change out the one on these.
Our JBL Tune 500's cable cannot be changed as it's fixed.

Would these headphones work for recording podcasts?
Our JBL Tune 500 headphones can certainly make decent recording but not high enough to be considered profession equipment. We highly suggest checking out professional headphones for podcast recording.
